What's on: make the most of your visit - upcoming events and activities
Name of event: Of the Oak
About the event: Don’t miss this unique opportunity to see a one-of-a-kind outdoor art installation that focuses on one of Kew’s most famous trees, the magnificent Lucombe oak. The artwork centres on the inner workings of the oak, using real-world data captured in collaboration with Kew scientists to create a ‘digital double’ of the tree and celebrate its role as a vital hub of biodiversity.
When: 3 May – 28 September 2025
Location: Kew Gardens
Admission: Entry included with your Boundless membership.
Tell me more: This is a multisensory and interactive experience – you’ll be able to impact the motions of the oak on screen by moving in front of it. And, with an online guided breathing meditation, you can synchronise your breathing with the rhythms of this amazing tree.

Name of event: Dog walks at Wakehurst
About the event: Wakehurst’s 500-acre site offers designated dog walking routes around their extensive gardens which take in a variety of lovely landscapes and beautiful views. You’ll also find a dedicated off-lead area close to the Millennium Seed Bank where your dog can run freely.
Pick up a dog walking map at the entrance to find the best places to get dog treats, water, complimentary biodegradable waste bags and locations of waste bins.
When: The gardens are open from 10am – 6pm every day (last entry at 5:30pm).
Location: Wakehurst, RH17 6TN
Admission: Entry included with your Boundless membership.
Tell me more: You’ll also find the dog-friendly Seeds Cafe on site, where you can spend some quality downtime together, and their on-site shop is dog-friendly too. Be sure to read their Canine Code and information page before you set off, some areas within the botanical garden are not open to dogs.
